CortexIA

Built for teachers and training organisations

Turn your course material into assessments you can trust

Upload a PDF, a Word file or a slide deck. CortexIA reads it page by page, rebuilds its structure, then writes questions tied to their source — and checks them before showing them to you.

Writing a good assessment takes time you do not have

And generic generators invent questions your material cannot justify.

01

Hours per exam

Re-reading the course, picking what to assess, writing plausible distractors, double-checking the answer key: building one paper is half a day of work.

02

Off-topic questions

A model that has not read your documents produces plausible text, not verifiable questions. Nothing guarantees the expected answer is actually in your course.

03

Coverage by guesswork

It is hard to tell whether a paper covers the whole syllabus or just three chapters, and at what level of difficulty.

Four steps, from material to exam paper

Nothing to install: everything happens in your browser.

  1. 1

    Upload your material

PDF, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OpenDocument, EPUB. Office formats are converted automatically.

  2. 2

    CortexIA reads and structures it

Page-by-page recognition: headings, paragraphs, lists, tables, figures and formulas. The document outline and its topics are rebuilt.

  3. 3

    Generate what you need

Single- or multiple-answer MCQs, true/false and open questions with an answer key and a marking rubric. Pick topics, difficulty and how many, compose a mixed exam blueprint, or simply describe what you want to the assistant. Your teaching brief applies to a whole folder.

  4. 4

    Review, then export

Every question arrives with its source. Keep what works, fix the rest, export to your LMS.

What CortexIA actually does

Not a thin wrapper around a language model: a document-reading engine, a grounded generator and a battery of checks.

A faithful reading of your documents

Every page is segmented into typed blocks — heading, text, list, table, figure, formula. Running headers are dropped, formulas kept as LaTeX, figures described. Nothing is summarised on the fly.

Grounded questions, never invented

Generation starts from passages actually retrieved in your corpus. Each question keeps the document and page it came from, so you can always go back to the source.

Quality checks that block

Before you ever see it, a question goes through a battery of checks: is the answer entailed by the cited passage, can a solver that never read the course answer it anyway, does it duplicate something already in your bank?

An assistant that acts, not chats

The conversational assistant genuinely manipulates your folders, corpus and question bank: it generates, re-checks, exports and tidies up. Deletions always require an explicit confirmation.

A question bank you can steer

Search, filter and re-run the checks on any question. Two heatmaps show the real coverage of a paper: topic × difficulty and topic × page of the source material.

Exports for the tools you already use

A print-ready Word document — exam paper, questions with answers, or answer key alone — with native equations, in the language of your interface. And for your platform: Moodle XML, GIFT, Aiken, CSV, with no re-typing.

Quality is not a promise here, it is a pipeline stage

A question rejected by the checks is never presented to you as valid.

Entailment verified

An independent judge compares the expected answer against the source passage. When in doubt the question is dropped — the check fails on the safe side.

Blind solvers

Models with no access to the course try to answer. If they succeed too easily, the question is either trivial or gives its answer away.

Wording-bias guards

Option order is randomised and answer lengths are controlled: the correct answer must not be guessable from its shape.

Duplicates caught

Every new question is compared semantically against your existing bank, not just word for word.

You keep the final say: nothing enters your bank without your validation.

Your courses stay yours

Hosting and processing in the EU
Documents, questions and execution logs stay on infrastructure located in the European Union.
No training on your content
Your documents and questions are never used to train or fine-tune a model, neither by us nor by our subprocessors.
Encryption and isolation
Encryption in transit and at rest, isolation per account and per organisation, and audited administrative access.
Compliance in writing
Data processing agreement on request, an up-to-date subprocessor register, and for Ultimate the choice of region, VPC or on-premise deployment.

Simple pricing, built on a single counter

The credit. You pay neither for pages read twice, nor for questions you throw away.

What is a credit?

1 credit ≈ 1 question generated and validated. Generation quality is identical on every plan: a paid plan buys volume and features, never a better model.

What about reading the documents? Ingestion costs about 5 credits per 100 pages, charged once per document. Generating as many papers as you like from a document already read costs nothing extra.

Frequently asked questions

Learn more
What is a credit, in practice?+

One credit is roughly one question generated and cleared by the quality checks. Reading a document additionally costs about 5 credits per 100 pages, once per document.

What happens when I run out of credits?+

Generation stops, but nothing is lost: your documents, your bank and your exports stay available. You can buy extra credits at your plan rate, or wait for the next period to top you up.

Do unused credits roll over?+

Credits included in a subscription are refilled every period and do not accumulate. Credits you buy on top stay yours for as long as your account is active.

How is a team billed?+

You pay one seat per member and the team shares a single credit pool. The workspace owner is billed; every invited member takes a seat. An added seat is billed immediately on a pro-rata basis; a removed seat becomes a credit deducted from the next invoice.

Try it on your own course

Upload one document, generate a paper, judge the result. It takes a few minutes and costs nothing.

No credit card required.
